Donald Burdek

Outdoor Enthusiast

I am a 42 year old father to 5 kids. I have had a deep love for the outdoors since I was a young child. Growing up, I was outside as much as possible and often never had to be asked to join my father on any outdoor adventure that he and I would go on. I grew up caving, canoeing, rock climbing, zip lining, participating in Cub Scouts, etc.

I decided to start this blog as a way to share my adventures and mishaps along the way for anyone who’d care to read and maybe get a laugh along the way.

El Diablo

El Diablo is the chariot that carries me on my adventures. He is a 1998 Dodge Durango SLT 4X4. Mostly stock, plans are in the works to make him more capable off-road with overlanding the main theme of the planned build. El Diablo was given his name by my younger brother who named him after the first planned overlanding trail I want to drive on, the El Camino Del Diablo or Devil’s Highway in Arizona.
